Dilettante at The Student Journals: The progressive double-standard on Votes at 16

It's been a hectic month, with my moving out of my Manchester apartment and trying to find a job, so writing has been light.

However, I do have a new article up over at TSJ highlighting the double-standard of 'progressives' who support votes for 16-year-olds on the one hand whilst forbidding them from smoking, drinking, driving and watching violent or pornographic material on the other.

  1. I think progressives thought process is this some thing like this: Most students will vote for us, so let them vote as early as possible; however, most students also like to get drunk, stoned or drive like crazy to parties, which will distract them from voting at all. Something like that, I still don't entirely understand the progressive philosophy except it seems to be centered around a nanny state that seems to know what's best for everyone.
